Dr Rob McClure graduated from the University of Leeds, UK, in 1987.
He first trained in Paediatrics in the UK and Australia, specialising in Neonatology, before working 10 years as a specialist Neonatologist mainly at Addenbrookes Hospital , University of Cambridge Teaching Hospital, UK, as well as in Perth, WA.
In 2008 he undertook a new challenge and commenced training in Anatomical Pathology in Perth, WA, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2013. Since then he has continuously been a consultant Anatomical Pathologist at both Western Diagnostics and at Fiona Stanley Hospital. He also is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Murdoch, WA.
During his career Dr McClure has also written over 20 published original medical papers, co-edited the Oxford Handbook of Paediatrics, 1st and 2nd editions, and was awarded a MD in 1999.
Special Interests: Dr McClure is interested in all aspects of histopathology with special interest in gastroenterology, endocrine and urology pathology.
Outside of work, apart from family, his interests include sailing, eating and cooking good food, reading, and English Premier League football.
