The Urea Breath Test is a non-invasive procedure used to detect Helicobacter pylori infection in the stomach by measuring carbon dioxide levels in the breath after ingesting a urea solution.
Your doctor has requested a Urea Breath test. This test involves the collection and analysis of exhaled air. This test is only performed at selected collection centres. Please phone your nearest Western Diagnostic Pathology collection centre to arrange an appointment.
This test should not be performed on children and pregnant or lactating women (please speak with your medical practitioner).
