HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drug of abuse testing.

We deliver the nationally accredited training course contextualised to the following Australian Standards:

  • AS/NZ 4308:2019 Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine.
  • AS 4760:2019 Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation for drugs in oral fluid.
  • AS 3547:2019 Procedures for breath alcohol testing devices for personal use.

Refresher training for workplace drug and alcohol testing

Refresher training is offered to qualified collectors to update your knowledge and testing practices to the Australian Standards.

This training is designed for collectors who hold a current Accredited Workplace Drug Testing qualification to update their knowledge and testing practices in relation to breath alcohol, saliva and urine testing methods and the Chain of Custody process to be followed when collecting and transporting of samples.

Drug awareness training

Customised training courses that include the effects of drugs and alcohol, the testing process and privacy, accuracy and Chain of Custody procedures.

This training is customised to suit your individual company collection and testing needs. This training increase employee and management awareness of the reasons and benefits of drug testing, the collection procedures and cross reactivity of prescribed and non-prescribed medication.
