Biography

Dr Anjali Mahadevan completed her pathology training in New Zealand and worked as a consultant for 7 years in Auckland (NZ) before joining WDP in 2024 as a full-time pathologist. 

Dr Mahadevan has experience in reporting a wide range of pathological specimens from routine to complex cases including Breast, Gastrointestinal, Male genito-urinary, Lung and Lymphoma Pathology, as well as Non-Gynaecology cytology.

Dr Mahadevan is a pathology trainee supervisorand has been approved as an examiner for RCPA. She also reports GP skin specimens. 

Past roles: 

  • Lead Pathologist for Breast as well as Lymphoma Multidisciplinary weekly meetings at Anatomical Pathology services, Te Whatu Ora, Health NZ
  • Departmental consensus meetings & Peer review - Conduct weekly breast and urology departmental meetings at Anatomical Pathology services, Te Whatu Ora, Health NZ
  • Training and supervision of pathology registrars and mentoring medical students at University of Auckland.
  • Quality assurance programs at QAP
